Walnut Edges Damien in First Team Ranking for 2015

As with the girls, the Boys begin the 2015 with the same teams near the top.

We’ve changed our method of ranking teams for 2015, giving more emphasis to overall depth and strength.  (You can read about the details on the post for the girls rankings below).

Walnut HorseWalnut and Damien are strong and complete teams, with Championship level athletes in most events and the ability to score in every event in a dual meet, That strength is shown in the first team rankings where they are separated by just one point!

D3 power Covina is another all-around team that has jumped up to third, followed by distance-heavy SGV newcomers Ayala. Special honor to Claremont and Rowland who have made huge progress in the new season. And so here’s this years first list…

  1. 146 – Walnut (Ranked 1st in 2014)
  2. 145 – Damien (2nd)
  3. 133 – Covina (5th)
  4. 113 – Ayala (4th)
  5. 98 – Monrovia (6th)
