CIF Rankings: South Hills, California & Whittier Join the Fun

With two weeks down in the season, everyone has raced, and the rankings are based on performance and not potential.  On the strength of those performances, both the South Hills boys and girls move into the CIF-SS Divisional Rankings, as do the boys from Whittier and California.

In the commentary on the rankings from Dyestatcal’s Rich Gonzalez, South Hills girls “move into the poll after a nice showing at Woodbridge.” and “Off-the-radar Whittier makes nice jump into Top 10 after overall merged score victory at Rosemead.”

This now gives us nine boys teams and eight girls teams in the rankings.  For many years, SGV XC has been underrepresented at the top of the Southern Section, and now we have a bit more than our share.  Well done to the hard working athletes and coaches who’ve made it happen.
