Here comes your coverage of local cross country action. As we did last year with the schools of the East San Gabriel Valley, this site will cover local schools from a local perspective, but this time expanding our coverage to all of the 75 schools that are part of the SGV Championships group, an area bounded by the mountains on the north, the LA Country line on the east, the 5 freeway on the south, and the LA/Glendale city limit to the west.
Last year we did recaps of invites and CIF rankings from a local perspective, covered league meets and did weekly features on athletes.  This year, I hope to do all that and more.
The goal here is to provide more frequent coverage than the local newspapers, and deeper and broader coverage than otherwise indispensable DyestatCal can provide. California and the Southern Section are so big and so good that many, many excellent athletes go unrecognized. This news site will help assure that our athletes receive the recognition they deserve.
Here’s how you can help make this happen:
- Coaches, please send short recaps of all meets and especially results of league meets.
- Parents and athletes – please encourage and help your coaches do this
- Photographers – send us photos! We can host slide shows and link to your photo galleries.
- Check back frequently and tell others about what we’re doing.
