Damien moves atop the SGV Boys Team rankings, but only just.  Covina put in a really strong performance at their eponymous Invite, while Bonita made their own big move.  And beginning this week, the rankings are extended to twenty deep.
The Covina Invitational at Azusa Pacific was the main local action. Fifteen SGV schools took park, with the host Colts taking the team title over Bonita. Covina junior Daniel Salazar was awarded Athlete of the Meet on the strength of his 800 win and 3rd in the 1600 and a leg on the second place 4×400 team.
At the prestigious Trabuco Hills Invitational California senior Sam Bautista had the top local performance with at 4:24.74/4th in the Invite 1600, while Millen Trujillo (Walnut, Sr) was an excellent 9:13.10/2nd at the 1st UCLA Legends Invitational.

These rankings are based on the current SGV Performance List. Â Points are awarded for up to three athletes in each event, with 5 points going to athletes ranked 1-9, 4 pts to 10-18, 3 to 19-27, 2 to 28-36 & 1 to 37 to 45. Â Relays are 7 points to ranks 1-9, 5 to 10-18 & 3 to 19-27.
Almost all invitational meets are uploaded into the database. Â It is up to individual schools to upload dual meet results, and most do not.
