Our big day is fast approaching, so coaches, be sure to enter your athletes on time!  But, who doesn’t need a little extra time, so we’ve extended the deadline to Tuesday, April 15, at 9:00pm.  Acceptances will be posted later that evening or on Wednesday morning.

You can download the latest version of our information sheet, which also has instructions on how to register, here: sgv-invite-info-2.doc

We’re less than two weeks away from the Third Annual San Gabriel Valley Track and Field Championships.

Here is a list of confirmed (either in writing or verbally) participants:

Arcadia*, Azusa, Bishop Amat*, California, Charter Oak, , Claremont, Covina, Duarte, Gabrielino, Glendora, La Salle, Northview, Rosemead, St. Francis, St. John Bosco*, St. Lucy’s*, San Marino, South El Monte, Temple City, Webb, Wilson (HH) and West Covina. (*=first time participants)

There is still time and space to accommodate more teams and athletes from the San Gabriel Valley. We’re looking forward to a great day.

Welcome to the new home for the San Gabriel Valley Track and Field Championships, hosted by Glendora High School

The Third Annual meet will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008, and (for this year) will be held at West Covina High School’s new all-weather facility. There will be Varsity and Frosh/Soph divisions for boys and girls in all of the CIF championship events.

Last year eighteen schools participated, and the increasing quality of the meeting was shown with 26 DyeStat Elite marks (top 100 in the state), including fine performances from California State Meet qualifiers Cori Carter (Claremont), Mishelle McNamara (Covina), Christy Adamyk, Jordan Edmund, and Madeline LeDuc (Glendora), Hoku Ho (Temple City) and Jesus Correa (Rosemead). Complete meet results are here: 2007 Results

We want to have even greater breadth of competition and quality of performance in this year’s meet. We already have commitments from over 25 schools but are looking for participation from every school in the San Gabriel Valley, especially from each school’s strongest competitors.

We’re looking forward to a great day of competition in April. Please check back frequently as we build our site. While the webmaster is busy relearning the html he forgot, you can get more information by downloading the following documents:  basic-details.docletter-to-coaches.doc and
